How to Move in Your Favourite Villagers
Ensure you have the latest Welcome Amiibo update installed for this to work.
If you have not already found a character called Wisp, who will randomly call out your name when you are outside in your town, play at any time of day and watch outr for a message box that will appear that someone is trying to get your attention. Listen to the directional instructions and you will come across a lamp, which will contain the character Wisp inside. Folow his instructions and place the lamp in your house. You will use him to scan Amiibo cards to have your favourite villagers move in!
Go to the lamp and talk to Wisp, he will ask you to scan a Amiibo card. Grab your favourite villager's Amiibo card and scan it on the 3DS, or if you are using an emulator, scan the 3ds file using the emulators built-in amiibo function. He will then transform into that villager, and come up with a list of options. One of them is to ask x villager to move in. If you affirm, the villager will move in your town within a few days. This action can only be done once a day. It is that simple to move in your favourite villager! Remember, you can only have a max of 10 villagers in your town.
